Experts in the Field
Certified Steele Electric electricians have all three levels of mastery offered in Oregon:
- The first is an apprentice. A Steele Electric apprentice is somebody that is starting out and working under a trainer with more experience in order to learn the trade and the basics of electrical work.
- A journeyman electrician is the next level. A Steele Electric journeyman must complete an approved apprenticeship program in Oregon or have 8000 hours of work experience along with a minimum of 576 hours of classroom training.
- A General Supervising Electrician (also known as a Master Electrician) has an additional 8000 hours of experience as a journeyman and must complete a comprehensive exam covering the electrical code in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Our founder Dan Steele is one of 3 Master Electricians on our crew.
